Always wanted to make a pair of decent "steampunk" bracers or cuffs. Now, if you're into this kind of stuff, then you probably noticed, that there are just two types of "steampunk" bracers out there - either it is yer ole' generic trapezoid shape with bitz of brass and cogs riveted onto, or it's yer other ole' armguard, vaguely resembling 14-15 century gauntlets/armguards, but made of leather and, again, covered in thin sheet brass and other supposedly steampunkish stuff. Depending on the skill of the craftsman, it may look nice and fancy, but after you see the same stuff for like fifty times.....well, lets just say, it gets you bored. Gets me bored, at least. Don't we all crave for something totally outlandish, when thinking about decent steampunk prop? I know, that i do. So, here it is - feast your eyes gents - for here is the pair of leather cuffs, that are not of this world
No, seriously, I never saw anything like it.
Both cuff and end collar are made of the 2.5mm shoulder, while the middle section (the lighter brown) was made of 1.2mm calfskin, that was wetformed to such a.... well, neat form. Unique as f**k
